D&D - Where have you been?

It's been too long since I last put finger to keyboard and more importantly dice to the table. Due to real world things happening, me moving house and starting a new job I've been unable to get the blog updated or even play a game of D&D with my pals.

But that is all changing as we are scheduled in for another round of fun this Saturday as my fellow gamers take up arms against the Hoard of the Dragon Queen.

The party have successfully managed to negotiate the tricky road from Baldurs Gate to Waterdeep and as well as staying alive on the road they have also been keeping a close eye on the Cultists in their caravan.

Below is a copy of the brief that I emailed to the guys a couple of days ago.

If Galasson had the energy he'd probably write a song about your sore feet, weary hides and deep longing for a warm bath and hot meal. The last 8 weeks trekking from Baldurs Gate to Waterdeep have not been easy but you have finally made it.
And most importantly you have managed to track your quarries, The Cult, the whole way and learned a lot more about their actions and people who seem to be associated with them.
But your journey has now left you tired and without the ability to contact your friends in the Harpers or Onthar. The trade caravan that you are working for makes it way slowly towards the City Gates and when you arrive the caravan master dismounts and starts to talk to the city guards. After a few tense moments you are waved through and the caravan slowly moves through the outer walls and into the bustling streets of Waterdeep. Within 10 minutes the caravan makes it way across the City of Splendour and heads West into an area that seems to be near the docks and harbour, not long after your arrival the caravan master signals for you to stop outside a set of large warehouses. Once you have stopped he heads in your direction with a large leather pouch in his hand and duly pays you all the sum of ##GP* each.
At the same time you notice that the Cultists are busily looking over a map that their leader has and they seem ready to head off to their next destination.
*GP pay to be discussed on Saturday.
